About Áine

Áine Uí Ghrádaigh (nee McNamara) is originally from Louisburgh, County Mayo but has lived in Indreabhán in Conamara for the past eight years.  She is married to Seán and a mother to three young boys Macdara, Learaí and Lorcán.

This collection is her first large exhibition. The local south Mayo and Conamara landscapes feature heavily and are the obvious inspiration for many of the scenes in this collection.

Áine is a B.Ed graduate of St. Patricks College of Education, Dublin where she also attained a Masters of Education (Visual Arts).

This collection has been produced over the past five years and until now has been hanging in their family home.

The collection was exhibited in The University Gallery, NUI Galway in April 2014.
